Rehber Foundation^® is a small but one of the active non-profit, non-political and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) based at District Khushab, Punjab-Pakistan, founded in 2003. The Foundation is struggling to uplift the masses in various sectors. Some activists and educated people gathered for establishment of such important platform that could provide assistance and facilitate the local communities on self-help basis. As an organization, RF was first registered under Societies Registration Act - 1860.

RF has been struggling for development in Northern Khushab communities. Northern Khushab is the starting point of upper Punjab and is totally neglected by the Government Authorities. Soon Valley is the most beautiful area after Murree, Soon Valley is covered with lofty mountains, and has 3 lakes (under wwf). RF has been focusing on following development areas from the date of its incorporation that include health, governance, education, human rights & gender development.

RF is providing services in above mentioned development sectors. In all sectors, RF is facilitating the communities according to the local needs and atmosphere in order to bring change through participatory development approaches. RF team is also facilitating the target communities through free dispensaries, computer colleges, vocational centers, English medium schools and HIV/AIDS awareness meetings. RF has executed and currently running various projects like "Rehber Free Dispensary", "Rehber Computer College", "Rehber Vocational Center", "Rehber Model Schools", and "HIV/AIDS awareness meetings with local communities".

Mission

Its mission is to protect and improve health status of target communities, empower the women, develop human resources and awareness among community by adopting participatory approach according to the culture, customs and current needs of existing communities.

Vision

The Vision includes as "An Educated Society having absolute knowledge and skills on Health and Education rights"

Goals

The overall goal of the RF is to get the people well aware on Health, Education and Environmental rights at national level.

Objectives

RF aims to:

Strive for socio economic empowerment of disadvantaged groups
Increase health services and health seeking behavior
Increase Awareness regarding reproductive health and reproductive health rights
Increase awareness, knowledge and skills regarding STIs including HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis B/C
Increase life skills among adolescents
Provide Mother and Child health care facilities
Increase literacy rate through formal and informal education
Build the capacity of school teachers
Enhance equal distribution of human rights
Enhance gender equity
Improve environment, water and sanitation
